Caught My Eye

Ashtiani, whose sentence of execution by stoning for adultery provoked a worldwide outcry, will instead be hanged for the murder of her husband, a human rights group said. A Few Words About This Guy’s Blog…

.. about this guy’s blog.

I was in Toronto a couple summers ago during the weekend of the inquiringmind Magazine’s 3rd anniversary party. I met a lot of young interesting people who were doing really big thinks. It was an amazingly positive atmosphere, unlike anything I was used to! On the flight home, that weekend, I was looking through some information I received from the event, and I ran across a name that looked familiar (I couldn’t remember why). Later, I realized it was Canadian designer, Greg Washington (whose portfolio site I was a huge fan of). As it turned out, he was the art director at inquiringmind. He’s since retired his portfolio site (too bad); but he has a pretty interesting blog that I’ve been following for about a year.

Although Greg’s career is further along than mine, I still find it inspiring that there are other young black men like myself who are out there trying hard to make a name for themselves and go as hard as they can until they reach that peak.

Ok, enough of all that… my point is he’s a really creative dude, with an inspiring blog and his career is on a rocket ship.   Check it out here

Breaking Bread Sessions

Breaking Bread Sessions is a series of podcasts where Matt and Vince have a meal with an individual that is in the creative field. The conversations are taped giving the listener an opportunity to be a fly on the wall to gain insight on how that creative person ticks. We were influenced by Adrian Shaughnessy’s graphicdesignontheradio.com, except we substituted music for food and we’re not as classy. We are unapologetic about the sound quality and we welcome the interruptions during the interview. Enjoy.
